Frequently asked
+ Does firestop prevent a fire?
No. Firestop does not prevent ignition - it stops fire, smoke and hot gas from spreading beyond the compartment where it started, for the full rated period. That is what buys evacuation time and protects the rest of the asset.
+ What is the difference between an F rating and a T rating?
An F rating is the time the seal resists flame passage. A T rating adds a limit on temperature rise on the unexposed side, which matters where combustible material sits close to the penetration.
+ Can a firestop system be re-entered for future cables?
Yes. Pillow and re-enterable module systems are designed for installations that change - common in substations and data-heavy plant rooms. Sealant and mortar systems can also be reinstated to the same tested detail.
+ Do you provide submittal documentation for authority approval?
Every supply is accompanied by the tested system number, datasheet, certification and installation detail required for civil defence and consultant approval.
+ Do you support inspection and site training?
Yes - installer training, on-site inspection and as-built documentation are part of our standard service model for project-scale supply.
