Technician applying intumescent firestop sealant around cable tray penetrations in a rated concrete wall

Protection that matters

Firestop does not stop a fire starting. It stops it spreading.

The principle

Stop the fire at the breach

  1. 01

    Breach

Every pipe, cable and duct crossing a rated wall or floor opens a path for fire, smoke and hot gas.

  2. 02

    Seal

A tested firestop system - sealant, collar, wrap, mortar or pillow - reinstates the rating of the element it passes through.

  3. 03

    Contain

Compartmentation holds. Fire stays where it started for the full rated period, with documented evidence.

Applications

Every asset is a stack of sealed compartments

From a single plant room to a fifty-storey tower, the principle does not change: every floor slab, shaft and rated wall must stay closed when fire arrives.

Power generation & distribution

Turbine halls, cable basements, control buildings and generator auxiliaries.

Substations & switchgear

Transformer, relay and battery rooms, trench and duct bank entries.

Industrial & logistics

Plant rooms, process areas and large-span buildings with heavy MEP loads.

Buildings & public infrastructure

Towers, hospitals and transport hubs where evacuation time is critical.
